Start making plans now to be a part of the SMI team for year number 8 in Texas. Become a part of the rich and growing SMI tradition in South Texas. Four weeks of medical outreach to the medically underserved in Texas colonias and in Matamoros, Mexico has served as the vehicle for training medical students to ‘put your faith into practice’.

Join us this summer in Harlingen, TX at the Valley Baptist Family Practice Residency as we work, play and grow together as a team dedicated to proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ. Our medical missions trip to Harlingen, TX and Matamoros, Mexico was amazing! We will soon be posting some pictures and testimonies from the summer. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support. All that we were able to experience is fruit from your love and partnership in the Gospel. The team was wonderful, and we were able to experience God in many ways throughout July. Praise be to God for all He has done!

The support from this community can be wonderful support while in graduate school. Opportunities at Esperanza Health Clinic

Philly’s local Christian clinic is moving and in need of help! Here are some opportunities to learn more about Esperanza, meet some people in their amazing community, and support their work:

Assist in their Medical Records Dept. – archiving medical records and photocopying patient records
Ongoing need for volunteer help in Medical Records to assist in filing/pulling patient charts (4 hrs/week).
Please pray they will receive their Certificate of Occupancy by mid-September, also for financial support including support for the actual move.
