The Staff of Medical Campus Outreach in Philadelphia

Bryan & Sharon Stoudt

Bryan and Sharon Stoudt joined MCO in July of 2006 after spending five years in campus ministry at their alma mater, Lafayette College (Easton, PA). God has blessed them with three wonderful children - Carissa (born 7/99), Matthew (1/01), and Anna (11/03). Their son's autism has been a significant part of the Stoudts' family story, a severe mercy that has led them closer to the Lord and deepened their compassion for others who are struggling. The Stoudts bring to MCO a passion for discipleship as they come alongside others, striving to bring God's truth and grace to bear on every part of life. Bryan is MCO's Director.

On a personal note, Bryan enjoys date nights with his wife, walks with his children, reading, house projects, gardening and anything related to chocolate or coffee (though preferably both). In her spare moments, Sharon enjoys time out with friends, watching Le Journal (the evening news from France), Michael Card music, and of course, dates with Bryan.

Insung & Mina Chung
Insung first arrived on the Philadelphia scene as a student in Drexel's medical school. He began his preliminary year at Pennsylvania Hospital, and will continue his anesthesia residency at HUP. He is originally from Southern California, and first came to the cold Northeast to study economics at Brown University. He loves basketball, golf, SMI, the beach, and celebrity news (because he is, after all, from Southern California). Insung recommitted his life to follow Jesus during his first year of medical school, and was discipled by some of the MCO staff. He met his wife Mina when they both joined the City Line Church churchplant. After pursuing her for a year, she gave in and has not regretted giving him a chance since.

Mina completed her Masters in Christian Thought at Biblical Theological Seminary in December of 2005. Before taking seminary classes while working in various cubicles in Philadelphia, she majored in Asian Studies and Information Systems at Penn. Due to her weak stomach and dislike for the grades she earned in the sciences, she never considered going into medicine herself. She is currently learning, by the grace of God, how to cook. Mina is the MCO's Administrator. The Chungs are currently involved in the Drexel and Penn fellowships.

Rich & Ana Shoemaker

Rich is an attending at Chestnut Hill Emergency Department and a graduate of Temple Medical School. He recently completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Drexel. They have been actively involved with Medical Campus Outreach for several years. Ana was the former MCO Administrator, and passed on the baton to Mina Chung in 2005 in order to homeschool their 10 year old son. They have two beautiful children, Jacob (5/96) and Johanna (6/06). They attend Pilgrim Church, minutes away from their home in the Roxborough area.

Rich enjoys bike riding, climbing, reading and listening to sermons. Rich is one of the liveliest people who know, and he is kept grounded by his super organized wife. Ana enjoys outdoor activities now including walking Johanna in her stroller, crocheting and reading. They are working towards the Great Commission by becoming more involved in their church and outreaching to their neighbors and disciplining students and building relationships with them. Rich is involved in the Temple fellowship.

Stay tuned for more exciting staff bios and pictures!
