CMDA/MCO Winter Conference 2008

Theme: God Crazy

Much More Than A Personality Disorder

The beloved Dr. Bruce Leibert will be the speaker a this year’s annual Northeast Regional Winter Conference, hosted by Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA) and Medical Campus Outreach (MCO). He will be speaking on the theme, “God Crazy: Much More Than A Personality Disorder.” Last year over 300 Christians in the healthcare field attended. Come and be encouraged and renewed by the large group worship sessions and intimate small group discussions. Sandy Cove is a wonderful place to meet with God and step back from the pressures of medicine. Childcare is provided during all worship sessions. Limited scholarships are also available, first come first serve, so register soon!

Conference Speaker:

 

Dr. Bruce Leibert

is the inspirational and enthusiastic Program Director of Valley Baptist Family Practice, a Christian residency program located in Harlingen, TX. Originally from Detroit, MI, he was part of the US Army Medical Corps for eleven years, and served as a Platoon Leader during Desert Storm. He was awarded the Uniformed Services Academy of Family Practice's Family Physician of the Year in 1993. He served as the Director of residency training at the Eisenhower Army Medical Center before transitioning to lead at Valley Baptist Family Practice. His residency program is an integral part of the Summer Medical Institute as they equip medical students to incorporate their faith and medicine. Dr. Leibert and his wife Jan have three children. Scholarships and rooms are limited, so register sooner than later!

$110  Single sharing room

$240  Married couple sharing 1 bedroom and living room (with pull out bed)

$320  Married couple in 1 bedroom (not sharing)

$20 Late registration fee after 12/21/07

Registration fee includes: hotel room, all conference costs, Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday breakfast

To complete your registration, you must send in a $30 non-refundable deposit in order to book a room.

 

Location:

The beautiful Sandy Cove Conference Center is well equipped with a bookstore, prayer room, exercise room, indoor pool, delicious meals, and outdoor trails and fields. It is located 60 miles south of Philadelphia. Take I-95 to Exit 100-A (Southbound) or Exit 100 (Northbound) in Maryland, just South of the MD/DE state line. Take Rt. 272 South for 7 miles through Northeast, MD. Sandy Cove will be on the right. Registration will be in the Chesapeake Lodge lobby at 5:30pm. The first meeting begins at 7:30pm but get there early to avoid long delays in traffic. Friday dinner is on your own and there are several restaurants between the Interstate and Northeast, MD. Sandy Cove’s phone number is 1-800-234-2683 and their website is www.sandycove.org.

 

What to Bring:

Layers of warm clothing, toiletries, money for your journey, Bible, journal, etc. camera if desired

Options for free time: modest one-piece swimsuit for the indoor pool or hot tub, recreational attire / equipment
